National Accreditation through the qualification BSB51001 Diploma of Business (Front Line Management).
AWARD: This course is classified in the Australian Qualification Framework as 'DIPLOMA'. On satisfactory completion of all prescribed Units a 'Diploma of Industry and Services Management' is awarded.
COURSE AIMS: To develop the business management skills required for line Managers and Supervisors.
COURSE DURATION AND STRUCTURE:
Duration: 2 years part-time, 4 Terms per year
From March to November. July start may also be available depending on numbers.
Structure: The course consists of 9 Modules.
Each Module comprises 3-4 Units. A major project also must be completed each year
The course is also available in a 'Distant Learning' format where students are supplied with course notes and lecture videos for each Module.
COURSE DELIVERY: Designed for part time study, the course is delivered one evening per week, as per the school term dates in Australia.
A Unit assessment (1.5 hour exam) is conducted at the completion of each Unit.
An alternative to the full Diploma is a Leader Certificate available to the off-campus and distance-learning students. The course material is exactly the same, except for the need to sit the exams. The full Diploma will be available at the completion of the full course.
LECTURES AND TUTORIALS: Year 1 Wednesday 6:30 pm to 8.30 pm;
Year 2 Thursday 6:30 pm to 8.30 pm
Diploma Course Fees: AU$250 per module, payable in advance.
Leader Certificate of Achievement: AU$175 per Module, payable in advance.
